If you’re looking for an authentic Goan dining experience right by the beach, Britto’s Bar & Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Located at the lively Baga Beach, this place offers a perfect mix of great food, relaxing ambiance, and a vibrant coastal vibe.
The first thing that stands out is the location itself. Sitting right by the beach with the sound of waves in the background creates a very soothing and enjoyable atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting during the day or in the evening, the vibe remains lively yet comfortable, making it suitable for families, couples, and groups of friends.
Coming to the food, Britto’s truly delivers on authentic Goan flavors. Their seafood is fresh and well-prepared, especially dishes like prawn curry, fish thali, and butter garlic calamari. The menu is quite extensive, offering both Indian and continental options, so there’s something for everyone. The portion sizes are generous, which adds good value for money.
The service is generally good, though it can get a bit slow during peak hours due to heavy crowd. However, the staff is polite and helpful, which balances it out. The only slight downside is that prices are a bit on the higher side compared to other local spots, but considering the location and experience, it feels justified.
Overall, Britto’s Bar & Restaurant is a great place to enjoy delicious food with a beautiful beachside setting. A solid 4-star experience that you shouldn’t miss when in Goa.
Some places in Goa are less about the food and more about the vibe. Britto’s somehow manages to deliver both. Grabbed a table overlooking the beach, with the sound of the waves competing with old Bollywood tracks in the background and a chilled Kingfisher on tap in hand. That’s already half the battle won.
Started with the Pepper Prawns, and they were exactly what you’d want with a beer-fresh, juicy, generously coated in cracked pepper, and packed with flavour without being overly spicy.
The Mushroom Pasta in white sauce was surprisingly good. Creamy, rich and comforting, with plenty of mushrooms in every bite. One of those dishes you keep going back to even when you’ve promised yourself you’re full.
The Veg Burnt Garlic Fried Rice brought that perfect smoky wok flavour, with the garlic adding just the right punch. Simple dish, but done really well.
And then came the Chilli Chicken-tender pieces tossed in a flavourful sauce with enough heat to keep things interesting without setting your mouth on fire.
Good food, cold beer, a sea breeze, and one of the best beach views in Goa. Sometimes that’s all you need for a perfect evening.
Britto’s may be a Goa classic, but after this visit, it’s easy to see why people keep coming back year after year.
Food:
Tried their oyster dish/platter, and that’s absolutely what I’d recommend here. The oysters, prepared with vinegar and a unique spice blend, delivered an intense burst of flavour, zest, and briny juices — a truly exceptional and novel experience. The fried fish was also well done, fresh and satisfying. The BBQ pork, however, leaned a bit too heavily on the vinegar tang. Rice was moist and paired well with the mains.
Ambience:
Classic Goa night-time outdoor seating experience — warm breeze, good music, and a laid-back atmosphere that instantly puts you into the Goan vibe.
Customer Service:
Prompt and diligent service. The team handled orders efficiently even during busy hours.
Sustainability:
Standard sustainable practices followed with minimal plastic usage.
