This place totally deserves a 5 star. Heard about their cocktails and went here, and boy, top notch. Excellent cocktails. The mixologist is well experienced and curated very good cocktails. The Banarsi Beedi was my favourite. Food is excellent. If you are someone who loves Mutton, this is heaven for you. Their galouti kebabs are melt in the mouth and their Nalli Nihari, wow! Just royal as it should be.
Coming to the atmosphere, it’s a vibe and definitely heaven for Bollywood lovers. Walls of fame decked with 80s & 90s Bollywood movies and celebrities, lighting done well. Highly recommend visiting here
Great place, amazing bollywood vibes and really delicious food and created drinks
Must try these for sure -
Mumbai Matinee
Melon Shikhanji
Deewani fizz
Galouti kebab
Chicken tikka Achari
Berry pulao
Paneer Tikka
I went in expecting a recluse in terms of generic North Indian dhaba food, just pretending to be a destination, but Mumbai Matinee genuinely won me over.
The old-Bollywood theme actually shows up in the food, not just the decor. The Nihari was rich and slow-cooked, easily one of the best versions I’ve had outside Old Delhi. The Galouti Kebab melted on the tongue and outshone even the Karim’s outpost nearby.
The vegetarian platter was simple and well-seasoned, with no unnecessary flourish. The cocktails were just as good, especially the paan-forward Banarasi Beeda and the bold, sweet Mango Madhubala. The moody lighting and live gigs made for a lovely, unhurried evening. Highly recommend.
The restaurant had a nice nostalgic vibe, kind of like old-school Bollywood, which really set the mood for the meal.
The Chicken Kafreal was really amazing — super flavourful, perfectly cooked, and full of authentic Goan taste. Definitely one of the highlights of our meal.
And the Kashmiri Kesar Ice Cream was just outstanding! The saffron flavour tasted really original and authentic, not artificial or overly sweet. It had that lovely rich kesar aroma that made it feel really special.
Overall, a fantastic meal — both dishes are a must-try!
Had an absolute blast at Mumbai matinee with my friends.
We ordered a bunch of vegetarian and non-veg and starters and mean course items as well. The soya Chaap and chicken Malai Tika were the two dishes that stood out for us.
they have very interesting cocktails as well with the unique flavours such as red onion, beetroot, and fennel, but the mango picante is handsdown the best drink the have.
love the decor, love the music vibe at Mumbai matinee. The outdoor section is super chill b cute while the indoor section is elegant and sassy with a view of their in-house paddle court.
If you are in Vagator n around, I would definitely recommend it.
