The ambience is good. We had fruit punch drink, ginger ale, four cheese pizza and cheesy french fries. Food and service was good. Neat restrooms as well.

Read full review! Our experience here went from bad to worse. We wanted to sit in the AC section because it was hot outside, but the live music speakers inside were blasting, making it much louder than the outdoor seating. The moment I sat on the chair, a sharp nail sticking out from the bottom pricked my thigh. We informed the staff, and the waiter simply replaced the chair with another one. We had to specifically ask them to fix the nail so that no one else would get hurt, and only then did they repair it. We ordered a Sex on the Beach cocktail, but it had no presentation at all. Instead of the usual layered yellow-orange look, it resembled plain juice with barely any alcohol. We also ordered a Jameson Black Barrel, but after a 10-minute wait, the staff returned asking if we had ordered Irish cream instead. Even after repeating our order, the drink arrived much later. The Calamari Chilli Fry had very little calamari and was mostly filled with capsicum and onions, making the dish unnecessarily sweet. After all these disappointing experiences and the excessively loud music, we asked for the bill—and that’s when they completely messed it up. They charged VAT for an extra drink we had never ordered. They removed only the drink’s price but forgot to remove the VAT. We noticed this only after paying and had to go back as we were still outside the building. They had overcharged us by ₹65. When we asked for a refund, the staff returned only ₹60. I had to point out that they were still short by ₹5. Throughout the entire experience, not a single person apologized—not for the nail that could have injured someone, not for the incorrect billing, or for overcharging us. Why should I leave my ₹5 with them after all this? I would not recommend this place to anyone. Please double-check your bill before making the payment.

Down the Road is one of those iconic places in Panjim that never goes out of style. Nestled in one of the city’s old heritage buildings, it has a charm and character that’s hard to find elsewhere. One of my favourite things about the place is the seating. If you manage to get a table in the balcony section, you can enjoy your food while looking out towards the beautiful Mandovi River. They also have both AC and non-AC seating, along with a well-stocked bar, so there’s something for everyone’s preference. The entertainment is always on point. They have live music almost every evening from around 8 PM, and the performers never disappoint. Once the live music wraps up, the DJ takes over and keeps the energy going well into the night. If you’re looking for a place with great weekend vibes, this is it. The food deserves a special mention. They have separate menus, including a dedicated Chinese menu along with a variety of other cuisines. Every single time I’ve visited, the food has been consistently delicious. The quality is excellent, the portions are generous, and the pricing is surprisingly reasonable. You genuinely get great value for your money. Their drinks are also affordably priced, making it a fantastic spot to unwind without burning a hole in your pocket. Whether you’re planning a night out with friends, a family dinner, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a place with great food, music, and atmosphere, Down the Road is an easy recommendation. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the entire evening and not want to leave. A solid 5/5 from me. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
