He eventually came and completed the work, but the pricing felt quite high (₹500 just to fit one lamp), especially without prior confirmation. I felt cheated because I had asked about pricing earlier but didn’t get a clear answer. I also accept that it was my mistake—I should have insisted on proper confirmation—but I didn’t, and ended up paying without questioning it.
For context, I paid ₹800 for the set of lamps and was charged ₹1000 just to install them, which didn’t feel reasonable. He also mentioned that he had left other work to come here, which didn’t feel like a valid reason to justify the charges.
Overall, the work got done, but I’d strongly recommend confirming pricing and details clearly in advance.
