Had a really great stay at The Shore Resort. The beachside location at Palolem Beach is a big highlight. The rooms were comfortable, the vibe was calm and relaxing, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a lovely stay and definitely worth it!
I booked this property even after reading so many -ve reviews, thinking that things might have improved.
But, I was wrong. I realized on arrival, the property was almost vacant while all adjacent properties were completely full. At breakfast, lunch and dinner also nobody was having food at this place while all other properties were full.
This itself explain that things were not correct.
Pros:
The only pro of this property is the location. But all the properties at palolem beach has good location and view. So, it's not a deal breaker.
Cons:
1. Switches and sockets are not working.
2. In bathroom, water doesn't get drain even a bit as the slope of floor is in wrong direction . You need to find a wiper and sweep the floor daily by yourself. This issue is not with any one room but all.
3. No geyser, no hot water.
4. Dirty water from the commode comes out.
5. AC are not cooling.
6. Staff (not all) behavior, specially the person who claims himself to be the head of all workers was very bad. We asked to open the umbrella of sun bed but they do not want to do it.
7. They want only foreigners to sit on the front beds and others to sit back even if we are staying at the same property.
8. They even do not fix the umbrella properly. Due to wind one umbrella fell down and when we asked to fix it, their reply was 'In March month you will get this much only'. Surprisingly in the same wind all other properties umbrellas were intact.
9. The food service is also bad. The food comes after a long waiting time and in the starting itself they serve tea or any drink, by the time the food comes the drinks are waste... Tea gets cold and drinks lose their flavor.
We tried to explain the issues to the worker so that they can take feedback and improve. But one of the worker told that it's a property of 2 brothers and they are not in a good terms due to which no body is paying attention to the property and services. Nobody cares about reviews and feedback.
Better to avoid this property.
The resort writes a lot of things in facilities and amenities in the room while booking from any app, but when you actually go to room it's barely half of it.
1) No fan in the room, only ac
2) No amenities in the bathroom such as hot water or toiletries.
3) The staff on the shack of the resort is really rude. They will argue with you, if you demand something out of the scope to make your trip special.
4) Food on the shack is worst.
5) No room cleaning came for the 5 days we stayed in the room
6) Yess the rooms are spacious and nice and you will have to ask everything at the reception and you will have to remind them again to get something.
7) The rooms are just 20,30 meters from the beach so that's a plus but you will have to sit at the shack for the view, you can't get the views from the beach.
8) Ask for Parvesh on the reception, he is good and will arrange everything you ask for with good behaviour.
These comments are based on the stay of 5 days in this resort. So it's not like it happened once in blue moon.
We had a wonderful stay at The Shore Beach Resort, Palolem! The location is absolutely perfect—right by the beach with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere.
A special thanks to Noddy for the exceptional service. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist us with a smile. His warm and professional attitude truly made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
The entire staff was polite and attentive, ensuring that everything was taken care of promptly. We really appreciated the hospitality and would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Palolem.
Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Restaurant food is amazing, very tasty.
The rooms lacked some basic features like hook in the bathroom though overall a very good place by the beach.
